New to Lincolnshire

After Selwyn's domain (Liverpool, Manchester and the corridors to central London) was the Oxford-Stansted Airport route and now the LEYTR area will receive the latest in coach design when Stagecoach's Plaxton Elite-bodied Volvo B9Rs take to the motorways (or, in Lincolnshire's case, roads) for National Express. A number have entered service for Stagecoach Oxfordshire already and Stagecoach Cambrideshire's Peterborough depot is in the process of receiving its allocation - six in total.

Taken at the Volvo dealership in Ely recently were 50% of Peterborough's contingent, which will enter service later this month. They feature local Anglia-issued registrations and will be numbered 53706-11.

They will operate all National Express' London-bound traffic in Lincolnshire (with the exception of Scunthorpe, which receives its solitary London journey courtesy of EYMS) and a journey between London and the Essex coast by way of Service 484 to Walton-on-the-Naze.
