Hot in Northampton

Pedestrians in Northampton town centre were rummaging for their cameras on Thursday when a National Express coach service caught fire. We'll assume it was a vehicle operated by MK Metro on behalf of NX and understand it was travelling empty at the time.

Arriva's MK Metro subsidiary operate all journeys on Service 455 (London-Northamton) using 07-reg Scania/Levantes. This isn't the first time a coach has seemingly caught fire without rhyme or reason and we doubt it will be the last. Even the best fall foul of a coach fire. A 'really good' coach fire. Further transport fire links are here and here.
