New InterConnect livery

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of Lincolnshire County Council's award-winning InterConnect network of local bus services, a new livery has been designed for application to vehicles operating under this brand by Stagecoach in Lincolnshire. News of this new livery broke just after the deadline for the forthcoming LEYTR magazine, so we thought we'd mention it on the LEYTR Blog.

The Jan/Feb 09 LEYTR will have a special 10 Years of InterConnect feature, including colour centre-spread of the various vehicles, liveries and operators who've played a part in the scheme since its inception back in 1999 when Lincolnshire RoadCar re-invigorated its Service 6 between Lincoln and Skegness with financial assistance from Lincs CC.

RoadCar's MD and LEYTR Chairman Paul Hill, along with member Stephen Pauling, who was InterConnect Project Manager for Lincs CC at the time, will both offer their thoughts on just why it was needed in Lincolnshire and just what made it the success it is today. (GL/PW)
